Review Guidelines
Reviews are the reason RockSee exists, so we're strict about how they get published. This page explains what we require, what we don't allow, and how to report a review that shouldn't be here.
REQUIRED FOR EVERY REVIEWFor booking site reviews, part of your booking confirmation stands in for the photo. That one is kept private and never shown publicly — crop or cover anything you don't want to share.
Photos that hold up
A photo that's obviously yours is much harder to dispute, and much more useful to the next traveler. Some things that help:
- Your ticket or phone sitting on the seat in frame
- Your hand, watch, or bag visible in the shot
- The view out of your own window, rather than a photo of the outside of the bus
We check for photos that have already been used elsewhere on RockSee, and reused or stock images are rejected.
If you don't know the company name
Plenty of local buses and minivans don't have an obvious operator name — that's fine, and we'd still like the review. Tick the "I don't know the company name" box when you submit, and the review gets filed under its route instead of a company. If the operator is identified later, we can merge it into the right company page.
What we're checking for
- Does the photo look like it came from the trip you're describing?
- Is the review about your own experience, rather than something you heard secondhand?
- Is it specific enough to be useful — what happened, not just "good" or "bad"?
What's not allowed
- Reviews written by, or on behalf of, the operator being reviewed
- Reviews written in exchange for payment, free tickets, or other compensation from an operator or booking platform
- Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks against drivers or staff (you can absolutely describe what happened — we just ask you to describe the incident, not attack the person)
- Duplicate reviews for the same trip, or reviews copied from other sites
- Cutting a review short and telling readers to find "the rest" somewhere else (another social media account, a blog, a paid channel, etc.) — a review posted here needs to stand on its own. Linking to your other social accounts alongside a complete review is totally fine; using RockSee as a teaser for content that actually lives elsewhere is not.
Changes to these guidelines
If we make a material change to these guidelines or our terms, registered users will be notified by email.
How reviews are moderated
Every submission is checked against the requirements above before it goes live. We don't edit the content of reviews — if something doesn't meet the guidelines, we'll ask you to revise it or, in the case of a clear violation, decline to publish it.
Report a review
If you see a review that you believe is fake, violates these guidelines, or is about the wrong operator or route, email us at support@rocksee.co with a link to the review and a short explanation. We review every report individually — we don't automatically remove a review just because an operator disputes it, but we do investigate.
